From the torrential rains of the past few weeks here in California I had some water in the spare tire well of my Protege5. It took me a while to notice, so there's a fair bit of rust down there. I can get the rust off just fine, but it's going to leave bare metal in some places, so I'm curious what the forum would recommend for repainting to inhibit rust in the future. I was thinking I could sand and brush on some of this. (I think I fixed the leak, it was in the weather stripping).
