Worst Accessery Purchase

That I have made was the purchase of the roof cargo bars. As they are rounded at the ends there is no way to anchor a load such as 2x4s so that it can't slide from side to side. A useless design that I unfortunaetly didm't analyze before purchase. Big waste of money!

Are you saying that you can't figure out a way to anchor those 2x4's to the crossbars with a rope or a ratcheting strap?

If you can't imagine a way to get it done, youtube is your friend.

Heh! Every Mazda SUV I've bought (now 3), I've wanted to get a cargo cover for "just because". Each time I decide against the expense, wondering why/when I'd actually use it. I still mull it over, but haven't got one yet

I'd have to agree with you on this. I didn't buy a cargo cover for the CX but the car that the CX replaced was a VW Jetta Sportwagon TDI and I bought a cover for that, it was a waste of money and a pain in the butt. That's why I didn't get one for the CX. Besides, the windows are pretty dark from the OEM tint so it's hard to see in the back anyway.
