Stuff flying onto my hood = Chips in the paint

am I just really unlucky ... I waxed my car the other day and I SWEAR it wasn't this bad... this is just one small section of my hood.

Mine looks like that when you look close. My bumper is a lot worse and the chips can be seen far away.

i have a MSP, idk if its primer is different but i havent really had any issues with paint chipping on my hood, jus 1 knick but thats because some tow truck driver with a flat-bed didnt clean the glass off his bed before he drove down the interstate..:\ fml
