Sorry to revive a dead thread, but I plugged the holes with some hardware and rubber washers because it looked like the clips go where the roof 'bumps' up a little. I should be fine, yeah?
Where can I get the clips you stick onto the car to secure the strips? I'm in the process of swapping out the rack and the stealership gave me the wrong clips.
It's a MintBlue lip, found that out checking that link. Just need to contact an importer about sourcing and price.

I've also seen people just cut the flare (so the door isn't affected) and mount it normally. I just don't know how the seal the seam of the cut

I'm sure this topic has come up, but I've started thinking about doing flares on my P5. I know that I'd have to modify universals to fit the rear, was just looking for some information and or guidance. Thanks.

The grinding is from the damn thing trying to slip into reverse when it's going forward at 45-60 mph. But link to the kart boy bushings? I want to start small, I don't want to deal with taking the trans out.
It does have the lockout, it's just not working properly lol. I know it has lockout because half the time I have to persuade it into reverse when I park.
Where could I find a shifter rebuild kit? Stock would be fine
Your valve seals could be out. It's a common problem on these cars. I have nearly 170k miles on my engine and it burns quite a bit of oil, not sure exactly how much but I also drive pretty hard. Id suggest shifting at 2500 the car isn't as happy as it is at 3 but it'll give you better mileage...
About to roll over 169-170k miles on original engine (swapped trans for 626, highly recommend). The old girl's tired but she's going. Burning/leaking a bunch of oil so there's going to be a rebuild or KL swap in her future as long as I keep the shell rust free... And as long as I keep it.
I have a 2002 with a trans from a 626. Loving the taller gears and the better mileage, however it's developed a simple but annoying problem.
Whenever I'm trying to downshift from 5th to 4th the thing wants to slide back into Reverse. Obviously that's a problem and I'm getting sick of hearing a...
Make sure the rims aren't bent as well. I had a trifecta with mine. Two seized calipers, 4 bent rims, two bad wheel bearings, and poor alignment... So really a quadfecta lol.
