I got my Sport MT for $3300 off the MSRP by using the Costco car buying program. $1800 with Costco, plus $1500 off with Mazda incentive. Transaction was simple and relatively stress free.

BTW, I have the same medical condition (restless left foot when driving) and picked up the 2016.5 Sport MT after I learned the 2017 would not have a MT. I did consider waiting a bit and picking up 2017 Canadian MT model in Ottawa, but though it would be too much trouble to bring it in the US...

Just curious, have you ever resolved the choppy, jittery ride issue? Just asking because I think I have the same issue on my brand new CX-5.

I just went from a 2002 Passat wagon 1.8t with the MT to the CX-5 with MT. Sportwagen and alltrack have a similar engine to my old Passat. That engine is more powerful than the 2.0 in the cx-5. I think the throws are longer in the vw. Also can get more option with vw.

I had a 2002 WV Passat Wagon 1.8T with MT. Will check the tire pressure on the CX-5. Thanks for the advice.

Hello, I got a new 2016.5 sport with MT yesterday. Getting familiar with it, so far seems that it's easier to do a rolling stop in 2nd gear than in my old passat. Just one question, I feel like the car is floating and not as firm as my vw. I though the ride would be firmer.

Hello, I just bought a sport model with MT. I find that the car floats around a bit, the ride is not as firm as I would have preferred. Is that due to the break in period, anything I can do to make a bit more firm?

So if I have to get a 2016.5 to get MT, is it possible to add the MazdaConnect and backup camera at the dealership? Or go with aftermarket.

Was really hoping for somebody to say the information I received was wrong. So my choices are: 1) wait for official info directly from the mazdausa newsroom site 2) wait for the 2.2 diesel and see if it that one will come with a MT 3) get a 2016 Sport with MT

I have driven the 2.0 Sport MT and like it, its not too different than the MT in my Passat. The only other SUV with MT is the forester, and I did not like the interior or driving feel as much as the CX-5. The dealer sent me the following image that indicates the MT is dropped, but all articles...

The picture with the manual transmission must be non-USA since the temperature are shown in Celsius. Other picture with the auto climate has Fahrenheit.

Hi, new here. I'm interested in a CX-5 with a manual transmission. Should I get the last 2016 on the lot or wait for the new 2017. The dealership is telling me the 2017 version will not come with a manual transmission. Does anybody know if that is true?
