What kind of sound does it make? Mine has a hummm around 40-42mph and also around 65mph that goes away at other speeds. I know for sure mine is not the brakes but bearing seems good as well so... was just wondering if we have the same thing.

Finally did mine too, together with fixing the AC flicker on fan pos 2. One step I'd add is reading the manual on fine tuning the cables - there's clear guidance there and it's worth the extra time! Quoting myself feels weird LOL

Regarding the worst of your worries, I hope u can get away without replacing the quarter panel. They're expensive from junkyard and even more expensive to replace. I did mine this spring due to a slight accident near the doorjamb and it was smth like $700 parts $1500 labor & paint & other stuff...

OK thanks for the reply. The rim edge hit the curb directly so there was no rubber in between to absorb the impact - except the suspension bushings I guess. Clearly not enough. I'm pondering going with steel rims, at least they bend and are cheap, compared to a $1000 suspension job.

no, it was an option AFAIK but ABS did not come packaged with side airbags like in US. It still is a bit of a bad system cause it takes the control away from the driver and frankly first time it fired I was freaked but it does the job, especially on snowy roads, hence the reason I have it.
