As others have mentioned check the A/C drain hose. Hurricane flooding brings debris and mud and this tends to clog this hose. I can ascertain from experience :)
Thanks for the diagram, the one I saw was #2. I mean it can be removed and I can find someone with a press to do the new one but by then I will have removed the rack. But if it saves spending $200 I could give it a go.
I went to take my wagon in for alignment and the tech showed me it wasn't recommended since one of the Bushings on the rack and pinion was worn. Can this bushing be replaced or do I have to buy the entire rack?
Turns out the Moog Strut Boot Kit has a slightly longer bump stop in the rear and it was providing minimal strut travel. I removed about 1" of it from the rears and there was a 50-60% improvement. Now it's actually driveable. I will try trimming the front 0.5" (KYB) to see if I can also get a...
The ProKit is 5541.140 which I believe is the P5 version. Does the orientation of the bump stops matter? Since it will compress at the softest point anyway I assume. I installed them with the smaller taper side up, larger diameter towards the bottom. The original ones disintegrated so I'm not...
Removed some crappy Stagg and went to KYB Excel (black), I know they aren't tokico or anything high end but I had them on stock springs and felt pretty nice. The Eibach have been on for about a month, so about 500+ miles.
I recently installed new struts, boots, and Eibach Springs. I love the way my protege5 sits now but the rear seems overly "soft". The ride is bouncy in my opinion and others feel the same when they ride with me. My bump stops were destroyed so I bought KYB boots+bump for the front and moog for...
In theory they should be most likely interchangeable, the issue is proper suspension is matched for each individual vehicle model's specific characteristics. The P5 wagon and the sedan have slight aesthetic changes and do NOT weigh nor distribute the weight in the same ways while driving. So the...
Hi everyone, I've done a bit of research on the forums and around the web and for my specific application (daily driving/weekend cruise vehicle) I've decided on these two suspension springs, along with the struts I will install. I live in a territory where the highway is 'decent' but some roads...
A lot of the noise comes from the rear passenger side. Other than strut mounts, links, sway bar bushings, and trailing arm (all have been replaced in the past 4 months), what is left to verify??
Originally had KYB GR-2 Excel struts. I started getting klunks and replaced them with Stagg Gas Struts. Turned out to be broken rubber on strut mounts and bad plastic bearings in the front. I visually inspected the Staggs and no leaks, no obvious signs of damage. I can rock the vehicle and I...
