Truth. Mine came with a CAI already, so I just have to purchase the filter itself.

AEM dryflow filters are made from plastic mesh. Every oil change, remove filter, wash, let dry, install. They last forever if taken care of.

I had a ford pickup truck that did the same thing. Turned out to be a soft spot on the flywheel that would grab harder than the surrounding material.

Mine’s white. Not sure what color it will end up after body work...

I bought my first one yesterday... First ever FWD car, first non-push rod motor, lots of firsts. I’m here to hopefully learn a lot about this strange new world I find myself in.
