    Sunroof exploded!

The sunroof shattered on our 2019 GT last week while my wife was driving home from work on city roads. The sunroof cover was closed, so no shards of glass entered the cabin, but it scared the absolute crap out of my wife. Called the local Mazda dealer immediately that afternoon and brought it...

list of gripes about 2019 GT

    1. TPMS with no individual PSI readings 2. Mirrors not tied to seat memory 3. Lack of auto brake hold These are the three most annoying glaring omissions IMO, all of which seemingly would not have cost much more to include, as they are essentially computer programming.

    So I compared a fully-loaded $65k QX60 to the $53k CX-9 Signature..

We came from a 2017 Pathfinder Platinum loaded to the hilt. I believe it stickered for $45K. Although the PF had some nice features not found in the CX-9 (panoramic moonroof, side mirrors tied to seat memory, electronic tilt/telescoping wheel, motion-activated liftgate), I was glad to see it...

    2019 CX-9 - list of design problems/complaints

The CX-9 is a great car with no major shortcomings in my opinion. However, three missing options that do annoy me, that also would not cost Mazda much to include, are the following: - TPMS with individual tire pressures. My wife and my last several cars have had this feature and it has come...

Disappointed with TPMS system.....do I understand it correctly?

Don't forget not tying side mirrors to seat memory positions. Mazda dropped the ball there too.

    Opinions on Ventilated front seats??

ventilated seats in my Acura are a joke, but they work extremely well in the CX-9. As previously stated, they pull the air through the seat instead of push air. I remember on my test drive commenting to the salesperson about how well they worked.

What have you done to your CX-9 today?

Picked up my 4 month old CX-9 with 4000 miles on the odometer from the auto body shop. Wife had a bit of a mishap changing lanes and contacted another vehicle causing slight damage. Scuffed the right side of the front bumper and gouged the front wheel. They were able to repair the bumper and...

Bridgestone DUELER H/L ALENZA PLUS 20" Tires for 2018 CX-9 Sig

I too switched from the Ecopia to the Dueler H/L Alenza Plus after a screw in the tire made the tire unrepairable. Decided to spend the money to swap all 4 out to the Dueler instead of paying $300 to install another Ecopia. No inclement weather here in Orlando other than rain, so I have no...

    Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

My 19 GT does this as well, which I bought at the end of September and has 3500 miles on it. I find it borderline unacceptable for this level and price of car and will mention it when I bring it to the dealer for my first oil change next month. Most days I can't change the station or adjust...

Why did you purchase a CX-9?

Traded a 2017 Pathfinder Platinum for the 2019 CX-9 GT. Wife was adamant we still needed a 7-seater and probably use it a couple times a month, though additional cargo space over a 5-seater is an advantage as well. Pathfinder drove like a boat, the rear end sagged noticeably (which always...

    2018 Mazda CX 9 Pricing

Surprised you didn't spring for the extra $1,000 over what you ultimately paid to get a brand new car that hasn't been sitting on a lot for up to a year, plus all the new features of the 19's such as folding mirrors, cooled seats, apple carplay, more sound insulation, suspension tweaks for a...

    No auto hold feature?

Don't think that's recommended when in Drive. I know it seems nitpicky, but auto hold is becoming a very standard feature available in all levels of car. A shame it is not even available on the top trim of Mazda's flagship vehicle, when other vehicles in the lineup have it. Puzzling.

    No auto hold feature?

2018 Mazda6 has it as well. Extremely odd the Mazda flagship vehicle does not have every available option found in the lower models.

Who would like a Foot activated rear lift gate as a new option?

Useless feature, in my opinion, unless you do a lot of shopping and always have your hands full. My Pathfinder I traded for the CX-9 had this option and I rarely, if ever, used this feature.
