Still have the rims sitting in the garage (dammit). Was away for a few weeks. Am currently pricing out tires (225/40R18) to fit. I will post back for sure once we have it all lined up & installed!

Sooo.... everyone still waiting? or has anyone actually put RX-8 18's on their Mazda5? I have seen the pic from last year of the white 5, I was just hoping someone may have some real-world experience with mounting these rims, how they fit, and what tires will work best. Any thoughts out there...

ditto on the etching - my dealer snuck a $250 charge on the final invoice for security, and that is what it was for. he threatened to "remove" the etching if I did not pay, and I said go for it! (isn't the point of etching that you cannot remove it?) Anyways, the fee basically covers them...

well... so far so good. used an abraisive wax to get off most of the marks. suprisingly didn't leave swirl marks, although I was trying to be very gentle. Still needs some work & a spot of touchup paint before I re-wax the whole are and than should about do it. Thanks for the tips!

well... after an unfortunate run in with a blue newspaper box, I now have blue paint decorating the passenger side of the front bumper on our (otherwise) beautiful black 5. I buffed off alot of the paint/marks by hand with just a cotton towel, but there are some really stubborn bits that will...

to my knowledge they are not going to be "pushing" it until stock levels & manufacturing have returned to normal. In Canada, the wait time is still quoted at 5 months at most dealerships - there are lineups for this vehicle everywhere. Why spend $$ running ads when it is already outselling...

A solution here you go - the terapin from Thule, it is a hitch-mount cargo box. Basically looks like a big plastic growth on the back of your car. Saw one drive by me today!
