I bought the car with extended warrenty ... but if I were to do it again I would not because it covers the car up to 7 years or 100K ... and if a Japanese car brand cant survive 7 years or 100K without major issue I'll never buy that brand again for life.

I have same issue with my 2017 CX-5 sport.. issue happen when I try to go to work... Once car finally unlocks then key fob works fine. Another location where I had this issue was in my parking garage trying to unlock the car to go home.... Like other poster after spaming unlock button a couple...

The front seats ... or at least an OPTION to UPGRADE to better bucket style seats which supports better. I sat in a Lexus and a Genesis and those seats were great... I don't mind checking an option box of $2,000 for an option package for much better seats.

AWD because the Mazda AWD penalty is not nearly as bad as I was thinking initially ... While I typically get 22-23mpg on my short commute to work... I was able to get 32 mpg average on my longer trip (50 miles) to San Jose from San Francisco.

As a former 2010 VW TDI owner ... I can say for sure that DAS DIESEL is dead for the US market at least for passenger vehicle. but I do miss getting 49-50 MPG without even trying . . .

The Mazda Team is good in an OCD kinda way ... I dare to say the CX-5 driven in Sport mode is On-par with the 2015 WRX I had traded in for normal everyday driving... Since the car while in Sport mode is always in PowerBand it feels more powerful when you need to merge into the freeway in dense...
