I have the same problem too when going from reverse to drive. Seems like this shift delay only happens when the engine is cold like the initial startup in the morning. You can verify this by holding the brake,shifting into reverse and then shift back into drive and you can feel the shift...

Yes I have seen it. Reminds me of the Escape. Toyota makes realiable cars but I still prefer the look and styling of the CX5

Another recall for the "FIRE ESCAPE "

They run quite loud for about 30 seconds at first start-up, where exhaust timing is retarded to warm up the engine faster.
