I get that when i go from 1st to 2nd and abruptly take my foot off the gas just as the gears are changing. once in a blue moon i will get that when i start from a stop sign. I will get a lag then a shudder... but it's extremely infrequent.

Ive been wanting to do this myself. did you bake the tail lights, or did you use a dremel or similar cutter to open up the backs? i remember seeing someone do this before, but he just cut open the backs behind the tails. I want to open the entire thing. is that possible?
