    2012 cx9 - vibrating metal sound

this is not engine detonation/ping, I know that that sounds like . I read a TSB about the exhaust pre-silencer, I guess it may cause a buzzing metal exactly around 1800 RPMs. I am going to look into it. I was just curious what nut you guys were talking about on the firewall ...

Does anyone know the torque spec for 2017 CX-9 oil pan plug?

I don't know lol I've been doing it so long I just do it by feel and they never leak. I suppose 20ft pounds is the closer number. You just don't want them too tight because the threads on the pan get get striped easily.

It's a long shot but you can try 2 bottles of Lucas transmission slip lube. It's thicker honey type lube that helps the clutches in the transmission. It's worth a try. We used it in my buddies Expedition, it went from slipping to shifting like butter.

lol you have never heard of seafoam before? You can use it in your oil. You can also use it in the fuel tank. It's a great cleaning product for the combustion chamber and fuel system.

    2012 cx9 - vibrating metal sound

hi guys, I am new here. We just bought the wife a cx9. I love it. However, it is making a metal vibrating sound. Almost sounds like a heat shield vibrating or something metal. It does not sound like pinging or detonation. Currently I am running seafoam and 89 octane. It sounds like the...
