I don't know lol I've been doing it so long I just do it by feel and they never leak. I suppose 20ft pounds is the closer number. You just don't want them too tight because the threads on the pan get get striped easily.

It's a long shot but you can try 2 bottles of Lucas transmission slip lube. It's thicker honey type lube that helps the clutches in the transmission. It's worth a try. We used it in my buddies Expedition, it went from slipping to shifting like butter.
lol you have never heard of seafoam before? You can use it in your oil. You can also use it in the fuel tank. It's a great cleaning product for the combustion chamber and fuel system.
