Average fuel economy seems off after new battery

Hi fellow CX-5 owners, I had to have the battery and the starter replaced on my 2014 CX-5 and since then, the average fuel economy gauge seems to act weird. Or at least not like it used to. Before the new battery and starter, I would get consistant readings - about 11,5 L/100Km. Now, and even...

2014 CX-5 Back area creaking noise solution

Didn't have to access the two other nuts in my case to resolve the problem. And to access the top ones, you need to remove the lift gate plastic trimming completely

Hey there folks, So It's now been a year and a half since I got my 2014 CX-5 and having had some small issues with the lift gate area creaking noises and noticing some of you also have these issues, I thought I'd write a post with the different solutions on what caused mine and what I did to...

    Slight knocking noise when breaking

Hey fellow Mazdanites, I hear a faint kinda knocking clocking noise when breaking nearing complete stop. It seems to come from front driver side and it slows down as the car slows down and just after I come at a complete stop theres the same noise but kind of like a strain release. I might be...

    Liftgate area creaking noise

Hi folks, Theres an annoying creaking noise coming from the liftgate area of my 2014 CX-5. It creaks when the road is bumpy or in bad shape. It sounds kind of like when you rub two pieces of styrofoam together. I tried hopping in the back area with the liftgate closed and try and push on the...

    From 225/65R17 to 235/60R18

Well, here are my impressions so far after city and highway driving for about 3-4 hours. First, I feel I can't compare with the Weathermaxx that were on my CX-5 since they were so crappy, they're not even in the same universe but here's the driving feel I could experience with the Primacy. The...

    From 225/65R17 to 235/60R18

It*s my first CX-5 and first car with TPMS technology so not familiar with how it works but I do have the TPMS button along with TCS on the dashboard. Now, either it doesn*t work at all when no sensors are in the tires or it*s been disabled if that*s at all possible but tires changed and no...

    From 225/65R17 to 235/60R18

Hi folks, Just pulled the trigger on a set of tires off from a CX-7. (235/60R18) The tires on my CX-5 were are utter crap (Weathermaxx from Walmart) and I wanted 18's anyway. I checked the spec and the fitting should b good. Same offset and same bolt pattern (Mazda OEM wheels came with the...

2013~2016 What does your fuel range look like

Well, shoved a new k&n air filter in there and there was a slight improvement.. I also drove around looking at the current consumption screen and noticed something which I wonder if it normal... Upon normal/conservative initial accelration from a complete stop, consumption reads around 70L /...
