Now with the CX-70 "revealed", what is everyone buying?

Even BMW has ugly intake grills. I guess the advantage with them is that they actually work!

Now with the CX-70 "revealed", what is everyone buying?

Agree that the faux intakes look strange. Better looking on the black exterior as they better blend in. The rear of the CX-70 is better IMHO than the CX-90.

Now with the CX-70 "revealed", what is everyone buying?

A few reasons why we might go with a CX-70: newer vehicle with nicer interior, better infotainment and, importantly, the PHEV option, as we probably could do our doctor's visits, shopping and restaurant trips, etc. with the ~26-mile range. We actually like the size of the CX-9, both for its...

Now with the CX-70 "revealed", what is everyone buying?

I own a low-mileage 2017 CX-9 and my wife owns a low-mileage 2019 BMW 5-series sports sedan. As we are both retired, we are looking to downsize to one car in a few years. We have elected to get an SUV so we have our eyes on both the CX-90 and the CX-70. I prefer the looks of the CX-70, as the...

(Almost) new 2019 CX-9 GT owner

I worked in the tire industry for 16 years. The truth is that OEM tires are typically optimized for fuel efficiency in order to meet CAFE (Corporate Average Fuel Economy) standards for a given manufacturer's fleet. Unfortunately, when you look at a spider chart for a tire's performance, the...

Replacing touch screen due to defect

Thanks for the reply. I don't have any tweaks and am concerned the spider marks might eventually expand. Will post here on my replacement experience.

Replacing touch screen due to defect

My 2017 CX-9 Signature has some spider web marks in the upper right corner, so the dealership will replace it under warranty. The part has been ordered and I understand it'll take about an hour to complete. Anyone else had this issue? All work out well?

Latest Car & Driver CX-9 comparison test (vs Ascent and Traverse)

Read this article in today's NYT about why minivans make more sense than other vehicles if you're looking for space, convenience and economy. As with many others on this forum, I purchased a CX-9 for involvement (an amalgam of performance and ride quality), long-term value (quality) and a...

CX-9 Signature interior color more red or brown?

No regrets for me on getting the napa; on the contrary, as with others, I get lots of compliments. For me, the napa color is almost different depending on the exterior trim color. I disliked it with a white exterior but loved it with the machine grey exterior, which I purchased. How odd...

CX-9 Smart City Braking system question

I was on a road trip a few days ago with my radar cruise control engaged, humming along at about 60 mph heading into Savannah, when all of a sudden my CX-9 started braking and a concomitant noise ensued. Whew, thanks Mazda! A car ahead had stalled and everyone was braking in a hurry. The car...

2018 CX-9 GT Road Noise - Crosspost from Tires, Suspension Section,

Read this article by a Forbes reporter about how Michelin has created tires that work as well when worn as when new. Impressive technology! Full disclosure: I worked for Michelin for 16 years.
