I'm dumb. Forgot to mention Costco was out of batteries until this weekend and I need one before hand.

Has anyone put a 24F battery in their cx5? Walmart has their platinum 24f with 5 year replacement warranty for $150. Size 35 platinums are about $200 with 3 year warranty at the typical car repair shops. The costco/interstate is $80 with 3 year.

'15 GT AWD and Firestone winter force tires, mounted to 18in Mazdaspeed 3rims in Minnesnowta. I can plow through anything with this rig.

It's not cold here yet, so can't expand there. I run Firestone Winterforce mounted to Mazdaspeed 3 rims in the winter, so probably won't get a good feeling for their snow/cold capability.

I bought the Conti cross contract lx25's thanks to this thread and wanted to confirm that they are indeed awesome tires. Had them for almost a month now, and they are great wet or dry. Ice gotten up to my personal comfort limit and the tires were rock solid with no hint of being pushed too far...

2016 and newer models I assume?

I had the chance last night to run through 8-10" of soft powdery stuff. I wanted to try climbing the hill in our alley way (2 min into video), and generally see how the new tires/wheels performed. Everything was awesome! Had to really try to break loose, and even then the Mazda recovered...

Mazdaspeed 3 18's. Tires are Firestone Winterforce 225/60/18's. I love the look of the wheels, but the 18's are a pain to find a tire that has the right aspect ratio and not cost a lot. I got the tires for $100ea from tirebuyer. This is my first winter set, and I'm exceedingly happy with...

Thanks for all the info! They are from the 07-09 ms3, so it looks like they have an offset of 52.5mm instead of 50mm. I'm not too concerned if they stick out am extra eighth inch in either side

any problems fitting ms3 rims to a cx5? I found a good deal on cl, and like the look. I want the least pain, so don't want to mess with spacers. They're 18's with 215/45s on, will I be able to get a winter tire that is similar in size to the stock 19's?

Is anyone with the 19" wheels putting summer tires on them? I'm having a hard time finding anything that will fit. Being in MN, I was looking at a set of 18" mazdaspeed wheels off of CL to use for winter tires. Would I be better off putting winters on the 19's and summers on the 18s?

Just anecdotally, its very easy to lose grip with the 19"s in snow with all seasons. Which is why I'm happy mazda gave us a handbrake on the '15s. :D That said, we'll be getting a second set of wheels for snow next year.
