I tried this mod. on a Canadian model 2003 P5 with no luck. This being said, back in the day we disabled the DRL by just cutting a black and yellow wire under the dash close to the fog light relay.

You got me Nikku772, I don't even know what an ECU is or does! But if reprogramming messes with the the throttle response, spark timing and fuel injection timing, count me out! Not messing with that stuff on my daily driver :-)

Thanks Hank3, I never really noticed it before with the old (stock) battery though. Even when the A/C doesn't kick in and i just roll down my windows, it does it. Maybe it's just me :( I'll see what the dealership says, they can hook it up to their fancy machine!
