Sorry for my lack of understanding, just want to clarify before I order the parts. The exhaust from a 2.0L protege should match up to a MSP even with the turbo? If so would I need a new j-pipe or just the exhaust from the catalytic converter section where it meets up with the down pipe and back?

Unfortunately I don't have the original parts, bought the car with a cold air intake and my exhaust cracked so I replaced it with the corksport exhaust.

I was having the same problem not to long ago and after replacing my coil packs and ignition wires with the problem still occurring I ended up replacing the waste gate with a replacement from ATP turbo. After replacing the waste gate I don't experience the problem anymore.

Thanks for all the input, the soot is mostly dry but has a little moistness to it so I suspect that I am having a little oil leaking into the exhaust but it doesn't seem to be to much oil so it should be fine.

Added the stiffer engine mounts from Corksport and it made a world of difference! After installing the mounts I am no longer experiencing any torque steer.
