Does anyone know if the AC has to be turned on in order for the cooling fan to operate? I'm not talking about the condensor fan, just the cooling fan. The troubleshooting section in the manual I have suggests turning on the AC button and checking for operation of both fans?????

I have an 03 that I am about to scrap but it ran fine with no MIL lit. I'm sure the PCM is fine. Let me know if you are still interested.
