Up to 265,000 miles and still going strong ;)

I have 226,000 on my 2013 CX5. Other than the normal wear and tear (brakes, tires, an incident with a belt that broke), the only thing I had to have fixed was a small hole in my exhaust ... dealership wanted $1,700 to fix ... took it my local guy who welded it for a whopping $75.00.

So just keeping up with my thread here :) Just had to have the front sway bar/links replaced. I travel the same road back and forth every day for work (104 miles each day). I am in New Jersey, which means the roads are garbage although they are always doing construction on them. Otherwise...

Thank you! It was the longer one they changed (air conditioner stopped working when it went). I will get the other one changed as well. Should that be around the same cost or is it easier to change?

Just an add on here - I knew there was something going on with a belt somewhere. I mentioned a squeaking noise to the dealer when I took it in for service. I even emphasized that I wanted all the belts inspected and changed if needed. They assured me when I picked it up that everything was...

Yes it was the original belt. Though ignorance isn't an excuse, I assumed that the dealer would be keeping an eye on these things because, ya know, I paid them to. Lesson learned. :)

I think so - believe it is called the drive belt though they also called it the serpentine belt.

I don't know what the reason for the better gas mileage - I thought it was kinda weird too that the numbers went up. They did though and that is the only thing that was changed. I am not so sure they won't talk to my dealership though - they were kinda amazed it had not been changed, said that...

So ... an update. I no longer trust my dealer. Took my car in for service (outlined above) and off I go to drive 10 hours to Maine. About 4 and a half hours in, around 1:00 a.m. in the morning, guess what? Battery light shows up on my dashboard and my air conditioner no longer works. I...

Just an update for those interested -took the car in yesterday with my little list of things I wanted done and what I learned from this thread. Here is what is going to be done and not done: 1) Spark plugs - Should have been changed at 75,000 miles - never were. Not sure why the dealer never...
