Dangerous cylinder deactivation trouble on 2018 CX-5 and Mazda6 models

So in all, our engines have rocker arms that are held down by gravity like jenga, and one wrong pressure from the oil system will bring it toppling down...

    Belt molding removal

Anyone have the removal instruction for the rear belt molding for the 2017+? I see one for the older model, but not for the new one. Please refer to the diagram attached. It would be #1 Want to replace the one that got dinged up by some mofo. Thanks!

    2017~2024 Altimax or Defender

Wow, that is some good info you gathered. I thought of the Premier LTX, but read some things on premature tire wear, and it seems consistent with the reviews. Continental seems to have some good lineup for a decent price. One thing I do look at is tire weight. Some tires are 4 pounds heavier...

    2017~2024 Altimax or Defender

Looking around to see what my options are to replace the Geolanders that are on my car currently. Size is 225/65-17, it seems that the Michelin Defender and General Altimax are popular choices. Which would you get? Are there other alternative out there? Thanks

    Drove a 2019 Signature Yesterday

My co-worker has one of those, and the dealer told him that there is nothing wrong with the car. But they did tell him to change the oil more often "just in case" lol. That is a much more serious issue than creature comforts.

    Drove a 2019 Signature Yesterday

+1 I only use the cam to make sure no one is behind when I back out. Still use the mirrors to reverse the car in. The resolution on the cam can be improved, but you only look at it when in reverse, so it's not an issue. Remote start... meh. I don't care really care for the electronic parking...

Consumer reports 2019 just rated the Subaru Forester #1. What was the Cx5's ranking?

You need to take those reviews/rankings with a grain of salt. Especially when stuff like this happens all the time:

    2019 CX-5 2.5L vs. 2.5T

Another thing to look at: FWD: 3541lbs AWD: 3679lbs AWD Turbo: 3825lbs The weight and drivetrain loss from AWD will make it a disadvantage using the same engine. The AWD model has a shorter final drive ratio to make up for this, but the FWD still seems to post better 0-60 times. The weight will...

Straight Pipes Review of 2019 CX-5 Signature ... "very front wheel drivey"

The sport mode only changes the shifting logic of the AT, but I think it will allow it to get to red line. One thing to not forget is that this car has a full throttle switch at the end of the gas pedal. You'll feel a notch, and when you go beyond that, you get WOT. You can turn most of the...

A year later, still averaging 20 MPG on 2018 GT AWD Mazda CX-5. Is that normal?

Yep. those red lights really screw with your mileage. Getting 22.5 on 30min drives in a crowded city.

Straight Pipes Review of 2019 CX-5 Signature ... "very front wheel drivey"

Ended up with the touring with the optional package(wife would not back down on power gate lol) The turbo model was just out of my budget :( But I really like the responsiveness of the NA engine, and honestly, it's more than adequate for city driving. The review was nice, I also liked the one...
