    Stuck front rotor

Thanks all! Silentnoise713, that was exactly the issue. We ended up borrowing a 3-jaw puller from O'Reilly's and using that to pull off the rotor. Took a *lot* of cranking but it finally broke loose, and sure enough, loads of rust along the rim just poured out. The hub looked pretty good once...

    Heated seats - intermittent issue

Thanks guys! I actually ordered replacement switches from a dealer in Atlanta, however they just informed me that the parts I ordered were not compatible with my VIN. I'll have to look into that, however I'm thinking I'll let them be for now because the cold season is almost over here in St...

    Heated seats - intermittent issue

Okay, so the problem appears to be the switches themselves. Turns out the heater works fine, if I only flip the switch part way - if I push it all the way to the "on" position it turns off. The switches are pretty stiff and don't have any "click" to them, so I think they just need replacing...

    Stuck front rotor

I wondered if the studs might be bent, however I can place a new rotor over the studs (on top of the old one) and the holes line up perfectly with no binding. I would assume that if they were bent in such a way as to prevent the old one from sliding off, they should be worst at their ends (and...

    Stuck front rotor

I'm having trouble removing the front rotors on my '09 GT. I've removed the caliper, sprayed down the studs with rust penetrant, and tapped around the studs for over an hour. The rotor is loose, and moves freely on all five studs, but it won't come completely off. It feels like it moves out...

    Heated seats - intermittent issue

The heated seats on my '09 GT have been acting a bit lazy lately. Usually they'll turn on without trouble, but occasionally they'll turn on for a second, then shut off. Other times they won't turn on at all. In either case they will generally start working after flipping the switch several...

What have you done to your Mazda5 today?

Yikes! Glad it sounds like everything is okay. (wow)

Airbag light flashing - dealer says a bad bulb?

Should be picking up the vehicle today. For other's information, I did look up the error code finally, and it does agree with what the dealer said: Again, my airbag light was blinking 1x long, 8x fast - that's what the shop manual lists for that pattern (I noticed finally that the code numbers...

The 100K (Mile or Kilometer) Mazda5 Club

Not really proving much here since I'm a new owner, but my 2009 GT had 103k miles on it when I bought. I'm trusting that means it's just caught it's stride. :)

Airbag light flashing - dealer says a bad bulb?

Well, it's in at the dealer - supposed to be a 2 hour repair, but they broke a piece of dash trim and now I have to wait till Monday for them to receive and install the part. Yay for service! :P Got a CX-9 loaner, which is fun - great vehicle but wow, this thing is a beast! Almost as big as my...

Airbag light flashing - dealer says a bad bulb?

Well, it's back to flashing, so I guess the dealer's the only way to go. None of the indie mechanics I've talked to seem to know what to do with it, or have a better explanation. Hopefully the dealer knows what they're talking about!

Airbag light flashing - dealer says a bad bulb?

So I took my new '09 GT to the dealer to get the airbag light checked. This thing is really confusing me. The light wasn't flashing at all when I bought the vehicle, but started on my way home. It was flashing with a x1 long, 8x short pattern. I searched these forums and several others but...

    New owner - 2009 GT

Can someone point me to a good "how to" on that installation? I've seen a number of mentions of it on the forum but I haven't done much suspension work myself.

    New owner - 2009 GT

Just drove home a Stormy Blue 2009 GT with 103k miles on it. Owner had a current safety inspection included so I swung by the DMV and slapped some plates on it. First non-truck/SUV I've owned, and I'm surprised how much I like it. :) We're a family of 4 and our current ride is a Nissan...
