2007~2015 Changing CX-9 transfer case gear oil (photos)

Just did my first transfer case oil change after having the unit replaced. Thanks to this thread, and everyone who contributed. It was easier than I had expected.

    Blower motor stopped working

My center row HVAC fan stopped working (actually, it worked intermittently). I followed the advise above, bought the part from my local Mazda dealer (better price than online), and now everything is working well again. Just like to add that you should also check the fuse (because my worked...

2007~2015 Changing CX-9 transfer case gear oil (photos)

I've been lurking on this thread for a while, and thought I'd give my experience with my 2010 CX-9. Last summer I asked my local Mazda dealership if they would do an oil change on the transfer case, they told me that it was a sealed unit, didn't need to be changed, and refused to change it...

I run 17" without a problem. I run Sport Edition F7 with Blizzak DM-V1 tires...

Downsizing to 17" wheels for snow tires

I run 17" in winter, the major advantage is the lower cost (If you use separate rims). The 17" tires do handle potholes a little better too.

    Driver seat is haunted!!

What year is this recall? My wife claims that the seat moves in our 2010 base model, but I always told her she's hitting the buttons to move the seat with her purse. We don't have seat memory.

new to cx-9 a couple questions

I had them check with my 2010, and 17" is the smallest that will fit. I have Sport Edition F7 rims with Blizzak DM-V1 245/65R17 tires. You can build a similar package at Tirerack.com

    2013 Mazda CX-9 World Premiere

Is everything the same from the A-pillar back? I'll reserve judgement on the new design, but at first glance it looks awkward.

    2008 Mazda CX9 GT

Last year I bought 17" alloy wheels (Sport Edition K7 silver) and Blizzak DMV1 tires (245/65R17) with TPMS sensors from Tires23 in Mississauga. They seem to work well, no pics, as they are sitting in storage. I think the front wheels are close enough to the brakes that the heat from the brakes...

Slot at the bottom of the cup holder

Earlier in the thread this was almost figured out. My wife left some coins on top of the closed drink holder. I didn't notice them and opened the drink holder, and the coins disappeared. I figured Mazda was crazy for such a design that ate coins, until I looked into the drink holder and noticed...
