Your oil will generally smell like fuel if you make a lot of short trips.

It's not burning, actually. After a considerable drive, I'll park and then check that bit of bumper. It's hardly warm. As for the playback problems, that's Putfile's fault. I'd suggest letting it load longer.

Here's a clip of my new exhaust. I kept the stock resonator and replaced all of the pipe from the cat-back with 2.5 inch. I had it custom bent and welded and I replaced the stock muffler with one by Magnaflow. It's got a nice, deep, smooth mellow wail and it makes a deep burble when it idles...

So, is a fuel tuner like one of these modules a useful component in the achievement of normally-aspirated power gains?

I've been looking for a decent piggyback fuel/air tuner and this one has been suggested to me by a couple sources. Has anyone here had any experience with this unit? Can you suggest another similar device? (Under $1000, please.) (Details on the APEXi here...

Yeah, it'll idle pretty fast on a cold start and the car will seem to jump out of a parking space. On the ATX however, there's a safety switch that prevent shifting out of park without pressing the brake. Just let the idle settle down before you put it in gear. It's better for the engine, too.

Of course, it all depends on the price.

I'll reccommend my AEM intake. It makes a great sound, perks up the engine, and doesn't cause any problems. Actually, about 400 miles after I installed it, I picked up a CEL. What happened was that after the intial break-in period of the parts heating and cooling and settling together, the MAF...

I haven't looked, but if I seem to recall feeling some sort of clip/attachment on the underside of the handle. I'd take a look at that. Also, if you're going to go to the trouble of removing the handle, you might want to look into replacing it with a new (and maybe even stylish) handle.

Well, I put a couple hundred miles on (drove across the state this past weekend) and it seems to still work. I'll update back as soon as I notice it's not working any longer.

"Years of R+D?" I think it's more of a response to the trend among manufacturers to dress up engine bays in plastic covers to make it look tidy-er. Pressured by that trend, they boxed up the engine and the battery, covering up all of the wires and stuff. Certainly, the battery air duct was...
