    Struggling w Premium decision

Strange how you insist on AA/CP to be integrated, and you'll never have a car without that integration, but recommend a HUD that has absolutely no integration other than speed. After all, you can get all of the info from AA/CP on your phone in a little box separate from your infotainment screen...

Except you can modify the "fixed position" on the windshield as others have mentioned. I've moved mine up significantly.

    Struggling w Premium decision

I'll say this - it's completely worth it for me, and just for the HUD. I'm sure when winter comes the heated wipers will come into play and maybe even the heated steering wheel. Memory seat not a biggie for me since it's only me driving and no rug rats to put in the back seat, although my...

Carplay and Android Auto coming soon? Crossing fingers...

I'm confused. ;) His/her friends are not indicative of what the rest of car buyers want, (even though 4 out of 5 car buyers apparently don't care about it according to the statistic you posted) but your friends are more indicative of what the rest of car buyers want? You have magical friends...

    The official Review Thread

On my trip, I recall passing a large RV. I doubt they were doing 70/75 as the speed limit is 65 in most cases and I don't mind going five over. But, it was much easier to get to 80/85 on numerous occasions of passing than I expected. I also passed a line of three cars at one point on a small...

    The official Review Thread

While I agree that having some more juice in there would be beneficial, I just did a trip to Steamboat Springs and back this past weekend. A big chunk of that drive is 2 lane highways with minimal opportunities to pass, and most of it is between 8,000 and 10,000 feet in altitude. I found that...

2017 - Which Interior Did you Go With?

I originally wanted the gray exterior with parchment interior, but read too many issues with the staining of it, so went black. I'm not at all disappointed with the decision although a lighter interior would be nice in the summer.

Heads up display: Do you like it and why?

You know you can have the lane departure only warn you and not actually drag you back, right? You can turn off the assist portion and only have the warning portion. After some more time with it, the only thing I really don't like on it is the braking/distance to the car in front of me. I can...

Nearest Mazda Dealer is 2 hours Away...How Big a Disadvantage?

I guess I'm an idiot then because I got it because I wanted to. You are aware that your opinion doesn't apply to everyone else in the world, right?

Nearest Mazda Dealer is 2 hours Away...How Big a Disadvantage?

In my opinion, and experience test driving the CR-V, RDX and CX-5, the CR-V and RDX were much more utilitarian in nature - appliance-wise in your speak. My biggest purchasing priorities was fun to drive/handling and bang for the buck. The CX-5 won both over the RDX easily.

Mazda radar cruise control with stop and go

I used it for the first time tonight stuck in traffic for an accident. Even though I was stuck in traffic, I was giggling uncontrollably. Very nice feature!

    First 1K - some thoughts

That would be hairy, especially with the traffic going up and coming down. ;) I actually find the seats to be quite comfortable, although I'd agree with the lumbar support being lacking - especially for me as I'm a sloucher by nature.

The HUD display in the 2017.

Definitely. I too have polarized sunglasses. They dim the HUD and depending on the angle from your eyes to the HUD. But, you can also always set the HUD to manual brightness and adjust the brightness if your polarized glasses just dim it.
