Protege SE 1.6L 2003 137,000 miles 219,000 kms.

Clutch engaging to transmission only when car is raised up. When car is raised up with jack clutch engages the transmission and can shift the stick. But when on ground level it would not engage.(huh)

Unfotunately I did the work myself. Changed the pilot bearing of the flywheel. Btw, I just machined the flywheel as the one I bought in the U.S. did not match for my SE 2003 Protege.

2003 Mazda Protege SE manual transmission just changed clutch and has flywheel machined but won't engage. But engages when engine off.

I am replacing clutch on my 2003 Protege SE 1.6L and been trying to search the spec of the flywheel needed to be replaced as well. Any of you guys know if there is a difference on it with 2000-2001 models, as parts dealer have only for 2000 and 2001 models, but not SE, guess 1.8 and 2.0L engines.

Is the 1.6L engine of Protege SE 2003 model same with that of Protege 2000 DX model? I am trying to get some flywheel from the U.S. but most sites don't have any 2003 SE 1.6L subcategory. Please help.

Bought Mazda Protege 2003 SE 1.6L had 204,500 kms. Now it's 206,000 kms.
