That's my point. The OP said the leak was from the left side, but also said from the front main seal, which is on the right side. So is the leak actually on the left side, or the right side. If you're not used to the industry standard, many people state left and right facing the engine instead...
Setting at the tire shop getting the summer wheels and tires taken off and the steelies and brand new Bridgestone Blizzak WS80's put on. I have the old version of this tire, the WS70 on my work truck and it's the best snow tire I've ever had.
Only picture I have. Engine kept using a bunch of oil randomly. Twice it ran REALLY low. The first time damaged #4 rod bearing slightly. The second time it totally ruined it. After I pulled the motor and had the machinist take it apart, I figured out how the oil was getting into the motor.I knew...
Well I have everything on order to rebuild and forge the MSP. I finally figured out where the oil consumption issue that caused it to run out of oil and damage a bearing was. The valve guides on the #2 cylinder were bad and wasn't allowing the valve stem seals to keep oil from leaking through...
They took it back. I wanted a replacement, but they didn't have one. Now I have to get the motor apart and fuel to the machine shop and see what all needs replaced.... And decide if I'm going to forge it or not, LOL
LOL, it looks like and FS only w/o the swirl valves. It doesn't have an oil cooler, it has a 1 wire knock sensor instead of a two wire, and the trigger wheel on the crank is shaped differently.... I guess this is moot though. We were able to borrow my mother-in-laws car for as long as we need...
