Car and Driver 2019 CX5 article.

The 0-60 times with Car and Driver are always run using the fastest settings on a car - if Sport mode is faster they'll use it. They pretty much launch the car in the most abusive, fastest way possible to get their time and thus tend to have the fastest test times - eg. their Civic Type R times...

Yeap, ZF doesn't make an 8 speed FWD auto and the current gent X1 uses the Aisin 8 speed.

What was it for you? I had the RDX A-Spec for 3 hours and then the CX-5 for an overnight and I generally prefer the RDX - it's sportier, roomier, and more luxurious. I'm not sure it's worth the extra $10K in Canadian dollars so the wife and I are giving it some deep thought.

A couple extra gears would be nice - I found on my extended test drive of the Signature that I found myself in the "wrong" gear a few times b/c the gearing wasn't quite right for the situation. Whereas the 10 speed in the RDX I also drove had enough gears that it was easy to find the right spot...

    2019 CX-5 Reviews

Really odd that the Canadian Signature doesn't come with parking sensors or the 360 camera because the value prop for just a nicer interior isn't that great. If it came with the parking sensor and the 360 camera then I'd happily pay the diff of $2000-2500. I've pinged Mazda Canada on Twitter to...

Test drove a '19 GT-R and Signature today

I was also at the dealer today and drove a GTR (in Canada they aren't calling it a GTR far as I can tell), sat in a Signature and drove a regular GT back to back with the GTR. The regular GT is laughably slow compared to the GTR - it's fine as a daily driver but any enthusiast or anyone who...

    2019 CX5 Turbo update (Ontario)

Chatted with a BC based sales guy about pricing (basically the same as Ontario pricing) but he gave me the pre-tax numbers (but with Freight and PDI): GT Turbo: $41,470 Signature: $42,970 A 2018 non-turbo GT is a tick over $37K right now but the 2019 is getting the Tech Package included from...

    2019 CX5 Turbo update (Ontario)

Car and Driver had the current CX-5 at 65db on the highway (compared to 69 db on the 1st gen). Their words were "luxury-like" (https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/2017-mazda-cx-5-fwd-test-review) The Mercedes E43 with the acoustic package came in at 63db while the new Audi A7 clocked in at...
