How does it limit boost in first gear? Is it tied to the shift solenoid? I'll have to take a closer look at the wiring diagrams.

The hood has to be clearanced slightly, but it fits. Just the bracing. A CF hood would have no problem.

Bump. My Protege is now running with a KJ swap in front of an MX6 transmission. It's a PITA. I just got it running today. It's not making full power, as the ecu limits boost in first gear, and I'm thinking that's what's going on, I'm looking for suggestions on a way around it.

I think I paid just under $200 at the dealer for mine.

I just replaced mine, used control arms from a 99-00 protege. Exact same control arms, just cheaper for some reason. I could not find a difference with them.

Nope, just couldn't live with yellow anymore. Cheap ass Evotion springs on stock shocks for now.

Wasn't talking about you there... The wiring wasn't too hard this way though, had both wiring diagrams, and just sat down and figured out what should go where.

That's my thread :) Anyway, the OBDII swap has been done, not by me, but it's basically the same thing. The only thing that's not working on my OBDI swap is the factory temp gauge, but I'm certain I can get it to work. Any questions about this, you can PM me. Oh, and a curved neck KLZE is...

I went to go take a video today, right at the end, the engine started to make terrible noises like it was F$%&ed. Turned out to be the alternator belt exploding thankfully. I'll hook up my other computer soon, and upload some video.
