    How does it limit boost in first gear? Is it tied to the shift solenoid? I'll have to take a closer look at the wiring diagrams.

    The hood has to be clearanced slightly, but it fits. Just the bracing. A CF hood would have no problem.

    Bump. My Protege is now running with a KJ swap in front of an MX6 transmission. It's a PITA. I just got it running today. It's not making full power, as the ecu limits boost in first gear, and I'm thinking that's what's going on, I'm looking for suggestions on a way around it.

    Ball Joint replacement

    I just replaced mine, used control arms from a 99-00 protege. Exact same control arms, just cheaper for some reason. I could not find a difference with them.

    Thank you. They do make 200 or close to that. They share block, crank, connecting rods, and cams with KLDE. Different heads, pistons, ecu. Some say 190, specs say 200. Either way I could give a damn... I now remember why I don't visit this forum often. (blah)

    Wasn't talking about you there... The wiring wasn't too hard this way though, had both wiring diagrams, and just sat down and figured out what should go where.

    Progress update with some pretty pictures.

    I went to go take a video today, right at the end, the engine started to make terrible noises like it was F$%&ed. Turned out to be the alternator belt exploding thankfully. I'll hook up my other computer soon, and upload some video.

    I should have well over 300 whp within a year. Gotta see though. Edit: isn't there a RWD rotary P5ish Drag car? I wouldn't really say that counts, but it's probably the most powerful P5
