They told me this is a software issue (PCM) and they updated the software under emission warranty. All this took less than 30 mins and I'm good to go...The CEL...

I've been thinking about getting this for my next oil change with my CX-9.

Sounds like a water pump failure... what happen is the water pump failed caused the coolant to leak internally while driving. Coolant leak and got mixed with motor oil. You may want to look into getting used engine from total loss vehicle for cheaper price. Good luck.

That's what I figured about the battery in the fob. I did read the manual, I must have missed the part of the manual... as quoted above. It doesn't hurt to ask the forum here... appreciate the help.

Today, I noticed that the green key indicator light started blinking green after shutting off the engine. I would guess it is telling me that my key battery is running low? I looked up the manual and couldn't find the info. The key battery is about 1.5 years old which would make sense...

I tried to find the info for CX-9 but if it has been discussed already, my apologizes in advance for not finding it. I was wondering if anyone has put front seat covers for their CX-9 and any recommendations? Thank you. :)

I have Touring with Premium... I haven't regretted it. It's close enough to GT, there is a few features in GT that I don't really need/want. I'm still happy with what I bought. :)

Went to the dealer today for the first oil change. The different guy said that CX-9 uses synthetic oil. Once completed, the invoice states "Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil 5w30". Seems like dealer supplies Mobil 1 Full Synthetic oil. Thanks everyone for the info and help! :)

Thank you all for the info... I like Mobil too, and I've heard about Amsoil as well. I will ask the dealer about using synthetic for the oil change, it'd make sense to use recommended until warranty expires. Would using Mobil one or Amsoil hurt warranty for the CX-9? Thanks again!

Hello, I am due for the first oil change in my new CX-9. The dealer says to use conventional oil.. I'd like to ask if anyone use full synthetic oil for the CX-9? The dealer told me that since I purchased the CX-9, the first oil change is free. So I'd like to ask any CX-9 owners what oil...

Does anyone have dashmat cover for 2017 CX-9? I'm looking into getting one for my CX-9... is there a good brand that you recommend? Thanks!

No issues on my end yet so far.

I'm 6'4, I test drove the 2017 CX-9 before I purchased it. I'm more comfortable in CX-9 than smaller CX-5.

Thank you all for the input. I'll look around and find the synthetic oil that follows the API Service Category SN. Interesting info about transmission oil, I guess I won't have to worry about that one for a long while. Koert, you could purchase your own oil and have dealer or oil change...

I get 28-29mpg with 95% highway with 50 miles roundtrip commute. My previous suv was Ford Explorer and only got 22mpg... I'm happy. :)
