Anyone know what viscosity oil the CX-7 takes (i think it's 5w30) and how much oil it needs (i think it's 6 quarts). i'm not near by CX-7 right now to look at the owner's manual...hence why I am asking. Thanks!

Check Engine Light on at 2,450 miles. Dropped it off at the dealer....should hear something today. Wouldn't think it was the gas cap since the light came on about 2 weeks after I had filled up. we'll see.....

According to mazda recommendations, I should change it at 7,500...but I am used to 3,000 miles (or 5,000 with mobil 1 synthetic). Any thoughts on using a synthetic motor oil (Mobil 1, AMS Oil, Roayl Purple)? How about the interval? I am debating whether or not to let the dealer do the oil...
