I recently sold my beloved '16 CX-9 because of the coolant issues and after 3k of driving, the oil reeked of gas. It seems like the coolant issues may have been addressed. Was anything changed to address it or should l consider more frequent oil changes a necessity with this vehicle?
Thanks!
I bought the ones that aliexpress sells but from a seller on ebay. They allowed my 3 year old to climb in and out of the car easily while I was recovering from back surgery. It seemed like something I could install myself but January in upstate NY isn't the best time of the year to be trying...
Nokian Nordman 7 SUV. They were $100 less per tire than the Hakkapelitta. I went with a new set of 17" alloy rims so I could swap them out myself in the spring and fall.
I put Nokians on mine right before we got 16" of snow. My street usually only gets plowed twice, usually early on, in a storm like this so the street really doesn't clear up until it all melts. Slowing down for some of the turns and hills used to always engage the ABS. I didn't have a single...
Thank you for your responses. I set the front to 70 and the back to 80 and I get nothing. Going in on Wednesday to have it looked at. If they have to take the center console apart anyway, maybe they*d give me a break on Apple CarPlay installation.
I had my selection narrowed down to the CX-9 and Pacifica. I drove everything with 3 rows under $50k. I went with the 9 because it was fun to drive. I didn't really need the third row but it's nice to have in case we're driving the kids and grandparents. The vans are so much easier to get in and...
They get in my way. I don't use the typical 10 & 2 positions. I usually rest my hands on the spokes of the wheel right where the shifters are in his car. It's the way I've always driven and can't change now.
I hate paddle shifters. My husband's outback has them and they drive me nuts.
One feature his car has that I love are the folding crossbars. I don't see why they weren't included on the ascent.
Then again, since my oil drinking forester had tranny problems starting at 10k and our '13 outback...
The directions say to remove the clip at 23cm. I don't see any way to remove this clip. I suppose I could remove the entire side skirt to gain better access, but I just don't have time for that. The middle bracket is easy because it uses existing bolts.

I made an appointment to have my running boards installed since I can't figure out how to remove a clip for the side skirts without breaking it. I also removed the front splash guards since they'll be in the way. Not at all as productive as I had hoped.
I had the same problem on Saturday. I couldn’t believe this car doesn’t have wiper de-icers. My 7 year old forester had them. Michelin was the only company I found to have compatible blades.
The dealer put the new software (version 502) on my CX-9 and now i get a maintenance warning every time I start the car. The warning doesn't even coincide with any scheduled maintenance. I had the oil and tires done at the same time and reset the schedule for those. I've even turned off the...
