Wow! CX-5 Short Break Pad Life!

Our 2017 CX-5 GT had rear pads and rotors changed at 35,000 km's, totally worn . Fronts are not as bad but will need replacing soon. Of course the dealer says it's because we didn't pay for yearly brake service of around $200, apparently "all Japanese cars need this"...I called BS on that, our...

2017~2024 Best Winter Tires for the CX-5?

Just like Voodooman above, I opted to minus size from 19's to 17's for a better ride in winter/pothole season. Went with my favourite winter tire, Nokian Hakkapiliitta R3's and they are great, put them on some alloy wheels and I think I like the look better than my summers.

Driving long distances... is the CX5 comfortable?

We've done two 1900 mile trips in our 2017 CX-5 from Ontario to Minnesota already and find it very comfortable. Roomier than our previous 2013 Ford Escape. The last trip was over New Year that just passed, freezing rain, snow storms, the whole gambit... some white knuckling but with a heated...

    Yep, another snow tire thread...

That's the exact same size I put on, cheaper, quieter (more rubber between the rim and the pot hole) I have Blizzaks on my Ford Focus, great tires...not Hakka's but still very good! :)

    Winter tires

I hear ya, Hakka R3 SUV's on our 2017 CX-5 GT AWD...AMAZING in snow and on ice! Won't buy anything but now...

2017 mazda cx-5 lug nut torque?

Yup, everyone here says, "How are you enjoying living in the cold in Canada?" Bahahaha She has to "remind" them that she is from more North than here! Having a great set of snow tires helps as we travel to Roseau every Christmas as well as 4th of July. Between Upper Michigan, northern Wisconsin...

2017 mazda cx-5 lug nut torque?

Same here, 100 ft/lbs. It helps that my 2014 Ford Focus Hatchback calls for 100 ft/lbs and I do the wife's CX-5 the same. Wife's from Roseau Mn btw :)

    Yep, another snow tire thread...

If you can find them in your area, Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3 SUV's are what we're running on our 2017 CX-5 GT AWD. Really awesome on snow or ice, great lateral grip. Very low rolling resistance and quiet. Only drawback is price but I figured living in the North it was worth it. Had R2 SUV's on our...

    Winter Buying Experience

Well, sorry you had to go through this but looks like you have it figured out now. You do have the right tire size, and a Toyota Highlander (I guessed at the age being around 2012 - 2016?) does use the same bolt pattern as your CX-5 (5 x 114.3) but you are right, the Toyota has a much smaller...

    2017~2024 17 wheels for winter (offset 45 v 35?)

Personally I chose an offset of 38 over 45 when buying my winter alloy wheels on purpose, not a fan of the narrowish wheel stance on our CX-5. 35 vs 45 means you are only talking about 1 cm difference sticking out, shouldn't make any difference and bound to look even better IMO! KalTire (here in...

Really disappointed with paint thickness :(

Our Deep Crystal Blue Mica is 7 months old (bought a 2017 model last March) and has a few stone chips and also 2 fine scratches on the passenger side door, which came from washing the car and trying to use a microfiber cloth to dry it. I find the paint VERY thin on these vehicles. Saw a dealer...
