All-New 2017 Mazda CX-5 To Be Previewed At Novembers Los Angeles Auto Show?

Ugh!! Sorry I'm hating the changes on the 2017. So relieved I bought a 2016! The new front gill and pointy nose are just ugly to me...so are the ugly wheels and hvac vents. The sides don't look as good as before. The sweeping curve on the previous kodo design looked so beautiful and fluid. I...

    dragonflies love my CX-5

Some car colors reflect the same pattern of polarized light as water, especially red or dark-colored cars.* As far as the dragonflies are concerned, a red or dark car IS a body of water because it gives off the correct light signature.* The result is that dragonflies mistake cars for bodies of...

Sunshade recommendations for front windshield? 2016 CX-5

I have a feeling the OEM is made by Covercraft and they just slap the mazda logo on the front. Both are nearly identical in quality, but the OEM costs more.

Sunshade recommendations for front windshield? 2016 CX-5

Update - I ended up getting the blue metallic Covercraft sunshade this week. So far I'm loving it. Its easy to put up in the window and folds back down quickly. It fits the window perfectly. Also its thick and insulated foam-board inside, I think that makes the biggest difference in lowering the...

What's the best colour in your honest opinion?

Of course all cars will heat up sitting in the summer sun. But its a scientific fact that black absords and holds more heat while white reflects it. I compromised and got silver. The black dash and steering wheel do get hot though, so I suggest using a sunshade under the windshield when parked.

    dragonflies love my CX-5

I've been noticing a lot of dragonflies zooming up and hovering over my cx-5 hood and then flying away. Happens when I'm parked or even just stopped at a light or sign. I guess they think my car is a body of water or something. I have sonic-silver by the way.

What's the best colour in your honest opinion?

Sonic Silver is the best for longevity. It will hide any dirty, scratches and dents in the long run. Just wish you could get it with a tan interior.

    20XX Mazda CX5 Spy Shots

ugh I hate the cx9ish pointy front grill. also hate the tablet style nav screen sticking up on the dash like in the 3. I'm so glad I got the 2016 CX-5 before they ruin it

Sunshade recommendations for front windshield? 2016 CX-5

These 100 degree summer days are killing me in my new CX-5, especially with the black interior. My previous car had tan interior so I assume that made a huge difference in temp. I'm really glad right now I opted for the moonroof package to vent out the hot air as soon as I get in the vehicle...

Anyone else think the windshield wiper reservoir is poorly designed?

I use winter washer fluid year round. Usually the yellow Prestone de-icer or just the generic blue stuff when I'm cheap. I check it occasionally and try to keep it about an inch or two from the cap. I use the winter stuff all the time, just so I don't get caught with the summer stuff in there...

Hail Storm Test - Involuntary Of Course

My last car, a 2002 Mazda Tribute was considered totaled in a hail storm a few years ago. I took the insurance money and kept the car and drove it for a few years until I bought my 2016 CX5. It still drove great up until the day I sold it a few weeks ago to Carmax for $3k. Most of the hail dings...
