Why does my 2015 CX5 constantly want to up-shift when in automatic mode?

That made me laugh: I've known plenty of binary drivers (foot either flat on accelerator or flat on brake). They'd love this.

    leaking belt tensioner

They might also consider it an accessory like the alternator, pulleys or motor mounts. If I remember right power train warranty covers engine (and transmission) internal defects in things like pistons/rings/crank/bearings & journals/cam & chain/valves/seats/lifters/oil & water pump, and etc...

    2017 CX5 Changes?

Without comment on the 'beauty' of the idea I'd venture they're enamored by the 'form-follows-function' aspect of it.

Spilled powerade all over the rear seat.

I thought the seat cushion foam was mostly, if not all, closed-cell foam meaning it won't absorb liquid? That being the case, only the upholstery cover and padding behind it absorbed liquid. I'd get hold of an upholstery or spot carpet cleaner, the kind that power sprays in a hot water/cleanser...

    Why no window "open-all" / "close-all" feature?

I know I can enable some customizations in my CX-5, '3-blink touch' lane-change feature is one, and there are other features the dealer can reprogram such as running lights on or off. I wonder if drive-away door locking can be enabled/disabled in the same fashion? A remote window up/down...

    Why no window "open-all" / "close-all" feature?

My comment was directed at the cost to Mazda implementing it as an OEM feature, not an aftermarket mod. The OEM could specify appropriate hardware with the limit sensors included in the window motors so there shouldn't have to be additional hardware. Or wiring, if I understand CAN bus correctly.

    Why no window "open-all" / "close-all" feature?

Aren't CX-5's a CAN-bus system (like VW's)? If so, it should really be a zero-cost thing to do. No additional hardware is needed; just a few lines of code in the vehicle management software and key-fob logic.

what are ways to make CX-5 ride softer?

Wouldn't putting in the taller spring actually mean the spring would be firmer, and therefore a harsher ride? At any rate, raising it on the suspension while doing nothing for wheel travel means the suspension would top rather frequently with a light load, which is most of the time. Back in...

Rear wheel well cover material looks questionable

Old threads can be good threads! VW has been using something similar for many years... I had some on an old VW Fox from 80's in both front and rear wheel wells. It held up great and was very much quieter, especially on rainy wet roads, as the high frequencies of the water splashes are severely...

what are ways to make CX-5 ride softer?

20 PSI would definitely be way too low for stock CX-5 tires, they're design- optimized for low fuel consumption and that demands high pressures, it's even way too low for those high-profile tires of the 70's/80's/90's. Lowering the pressure (no further than you suggest, to 32/31) probably...

what are ways to make CX-5 ride softer?

When selecting that tall tire be sure to avoid P-Metric radials. That way you can reduce tire pressure to the mid 20 PSI range just like they used in the 70's. Along with it you give up a few points in gas mileage but you'll also get to experience that vague handling in the curvy's American...

what are ways to make CX-5 ride softer?

Rather pointedly, the taughtly tuned suspension for responsive handling is one of Mazda's selling points. I'm curious what leads someone to buy car if that riding dynamics is so unpalatable. (dunno)

Key FOB - Will CX5 drive away without FOB?

I've gotten out of my vehicle - with the fob in my pocket - at the car wash and walked away some considerable distance (several hundred feet). The attendants are able to move it throughout and it stays running the entire time, although once they had to come get me when they shut it off and I...

FWD & AWD Differntial Gear Oil

I'd be alarmed if the fluid looked 'milky' or 'creamy', suggesting significant water was getting into the system. That could be a problem: does anyone know how the rear and front housings are vented? What can happen, when driving through extra deep water, it cools the diffie or transaxle and...

    2013 CX-5 TPMS Issue

Possibly, but wouldn't that throw a more critical (to me at least) failure with ABS? I went out and checked my wife's CX-5 and it has indirect sensing, or at least no valve stem sensors. Could it be a CX-5 without AWD or stability control (assuming there are those) would use a direct reading...
