Too bad your having those issues. Our dealership is great. Service Techs go out of their way to research possible upgrades or solutions when I have questions. I am on my 3rd CX-9, and they have been really good with all of them. they even call a day or 2 after to make sure everything went ok..

Also make sure your gauges are set on Auto-dim. That affects HUD as well. The gauge dimmer knob turns to adjust intensity, but is also a push-button to activate auto dimming. Mine auto-dims gauges and HUD just fine. I love the HUD feature!!

I got the Soul Red on my 2017 and its amazing. My wife's Mazda 6 is Soul Red as well. My last cx9 was the meteor gray, and the red is a HUGE improvement - especially in the sunlight!

Like the others, I see #1 occasionally, but its not a big deal. Just part of the LED lighting. I have never experienced #2 or #3.

I am 6' 2" as well and I am in my 3rd CX-9. We have taken many long trips including Indiana to Arizona and back twice, and have never had issues with roominess in the front. Been very happy with it!!

That's how the new Advanced BSM works. It detects vehicles coming from behind on both sides, and will only indicate vehicles you are passing if the speed difference is only a couple MPH between the 2 vehicles. Takes some getting used to... I prefer the old method myself.

I love my door guards. My wife's Mazda 6 is next to mine in the garage - no more dings with the guards. Well worth it, and they match the Soul Red color.

The 17's have enough power. No worries there. I drive mine on interstates daily, and it has all the power I need. I put it in Sport mode a couple times just to try it, but its not needed.

I get really good mileage on my 17 GT. One trip, constant between 60-65 it peaked at 30MPG. My average on the display is usually about 23. Just to make sure, your not in "Sport" Mode, correct? When it runs in Sport, it really goes down. Good luck!

Your right, the pre-2016/17 could be modified with some nicer bulbs. I just don't see how the 17's can be - unless anyone has found some replacements somewhere..
