For my install it was worth covering with XPEL. It hasn't affected the adaptive cruise control during the morning or night. I'm sure it was relatively quick and painless for my installer to custom cut and install

Thanks for the walk through! On the Mazda OEM crossbar manual it says "Maximum Load - 75 kg/165 lbs Evenly Distributed" Is that per crossbar for a total load of 330lbs across both bars does it mean that it's 82.5lbs each bar for a total of 165lbs?
