So I am back. I have not picked up the 2012 AWD grand touring yet in white but I sold my 08' because of BAD paint and a shuddering driveline. Car was perfect for 137K but I had to move on. I hated a few things about it. So I am looking forward to getting into a newer one.
Any issues with 2012...
Yeah. I am not sure mine is that. I think mine is a motor mount in combo with a wearing transmission mount.
I have now sold the car as we needed to downgrade anyway and with 135+K on it I think it's time to move on. I will pass this info on to new owner. But my rear diff has new oil in for the...
Motul Multi-ATF. Great stuff and approval for this transmission-JWS 3309. I have used it on ours for 4 years with no issue. 100% synthetic. Smooth shifting always.
I will tell you right now that K&N or any of these types of oil media filters are garbage. There is a SAE test done on normal paper media filters to K&N. K&N was one of the worst filtering. There is a reason why some claim it makes more HP. There is a lost of filtering media which then brings...
So here is what I have concluded.
The vehicle does not exhibit any vibration when cold. Once the vibration starts (typically after getting hot..I believe) it slowly starts which a rumble between 20-25mph then goes away. If I keep driving it becomes intermittent but always at the low speed...
My vibration is gone in cold and comes in when hot. Must be a fluid issue. I will try the transfer case fluid change and ATF trans fluid change. Rear diff has new oil, about 2 1/2 years on that and seems fine.
So you had bad diff? Some strange issues. The vibration is at higher speeds as well. I also hear squeaking from the front end area. Like a rubber rubbing.
Those are all the same bushings I used. The last one is the rear bushings in subframe. I have explained above how to fit them. They are wider than OEM mazda. But I suggest not cutting them as I feel they will loose their strength. Just do not use the washer on the back side.
Vibration under load and in right turns under load. I am thinking driveshaft or rear axles. Removed driveshaft and it does not do it. What the hell?
Any clue?
Yeah, nothing I want to do anymore. I think the fluid change in this should not be an issue. Takes .56L of fluid. Drain as much as you can, measure it and add the same back. Do it again later. I think the idea that this is dangerous is a myth and a way for us to purchase new transfer cases. I am...
