FS: Mazda 5 Yakima roof racks

I had sadly traded my 06 Mazda 5 in for a Sienna (thanks to a surprise bundle of joy making us a 6 person family), and just realized I still had these. Used once on a trip to NY for christmas and they worked great. Paid $225 for them from someone on this forum. The racks include: 2 crossbars 4...

Well, all in all it's been fun...

Well our Mazda is gone now. It got out of the shop yesterday and immediately after taking it out of the body shop at one end of the dealership, we took it over to the other end to get it looked at for trade in. We found a fully loaded 2003 Toyota Sienna XLE with 73k miles on it for $16k. So they...

Well, all in all it's been fun...

We decided to claim the keying on our insurance and took it in Monday to get it repainted and we got a Town & Country for a rental. I was a bit impressed with the comfort of the seat (and spoiled with the power doors) but I don't like the squishy feeling like I'm driving a boat. I knew i needed...

    2008 vs 2007 air conditioning

I know on our 06 the kids get pretty hot in the back and it doesn't cool down anytime soon (you also need to consider I live in Louisiana and our car is black). One of the few things I don't like about the 5.

Well, all in all it's been fun...

Yeah, we're still looking around and weighing our options. We have an insider working on our side @ the Dodge dealership (therefore eliminating all mark-ups and then some). I tried a 2007 Grand Caravan out but I really did not like the way it drove at all. I know it's not going to compare to the...

Well, all in all it's been fun...

Thanks everyone. Yeah, splurged a lot of money of roof racks and a Thule roof storage thingy which we used once this last Christmas to transport gifts p to NY. We will keep the container but depending on where the 5 goes depends on whether I sell the roof racks or not. As much as we have vowed...

Well, all in all it's been fun...

In late 2005, my wife and I traded our 2002 Taurus in for our new 06 Mazda5. We had 2 kids with one on the way, due late 2005. So we have had it, and we have loved it. We have taken it on road trips to NY and I even took it for some fun on and off road in the snow. We have received uncountable...

    Grounding throttle body

Interesting... so it's worth as much as an Ebay chip. Oh well.

    Grounding throttle body

Even in "Manual" mode? I know the car isn't supposed to down shift in "manual" but it has for me with the cruise set on the highway going up some inclines. I think I could get used to shifting it for the gains.

    The Tire Wear Problem Thread

I went and paid for an alignment and they told me it was minor adjustments that they had to make. I think I will take some of the advice from 7red7 and see how it goes.

    The Tire Wear Problem Thread

I mean, it could just be the kind of car where you have to pay close attention to the rotation schedule or else. It could just be very picky when it comes to that. Don't get me wrong, I love our Mazda. I just want to be able to know exactly what's causing this problem and what can be done about...

    The Tire Wear Problem Thread

I'll try to tire pressure, and see what happens, but I still think I need an alignment. I got a lot more miles from my stock tires on my ZX2 and they didn't wear unevenly either, but that's apples and oranges. I have replaced two of the Toyo's with 2 Sumitos (or something like that) with...

    The Tire Wear Problem Thread

I don't carry much load. At most, my wife and I, and 3 kids, all under 6. We do make road trips to NY which adds luggage, plus a roof rack carrier (no more than 100lbs up top though). Yeah, I do know that the late rotations are my own fault but that should not cause this big of a problem. I'm...
