Its not stalling. just a violent burst like you describe. It will happen at 3/4 throttle too and before I replaced the actuator, I couldn't rev it past 4,500 at all without getting it. I'm not sure now if its fuel cut. My boost gauge should arrive tomorrow, so that will help diagnose it.
It's the adjustable ATP unit.
Is fuel cut an on/off thing or is is in gradations?
I can floor it in 5th at 4000 and it does a softer version of that bucking l
Holy dead thread, Batman! Anyone still out there? All stock..I replaced my actuator. I had to extend the rod at least 3/4" inch to reach the gates arm. Feels like I'm still getting fuel cut as before but now I can ease into High RPMs. Is my gate not opening fully? I need a boost gauge too...
Ok I think I understand it now. The Original Actuator wasent opening up the wastegate at all. The diaphragm was totally ripped. So that violent bucking was fuel cut. Now I can ease into high RPMS but still get that cut when its floored. I might need to lengthen that Actuator rod a bit so it...
It turned out to be a bad waste gate actuator. Took it to a shop, got charged $120 to have a mechanic blow through the line. I'd heard of that but I forgot how easy it is to test it....
Didn't change the plugs or wires. Its such an abrupt loss of power it really seems like it wouldn't be caused by something bigger than that. I could be wrong.... almost feels like total fuel/spark cut. I'm not a mechanic however.
