Wireless Rear Parking Sensor

I am quite interested in something like this if it didn’t need an app and instead had a sound/visual monitor in the car - I am tempted to reverse engineer this and hook it up to an Arduino.

Why not just spend that time installing an aftermarket system with multiple sensors? Much better (and cheaper) than this!

Example: https://www.amazon.com/dp/ (commissions earned)

The OEM accessory instructions would be very helpful for this too: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1459291/Mazda-C860-V7-281a.html#product-KB7W V7 290A

I agree but my CX-5 is fairly new that I wanted the less intrusive option. I am fitting the car with a Bluetooth OBD monitor already so it wouldn’t be too much extra.

One is wireless and the other you have to run wires. Great if you can install it yourself. Just appears rather involved for the average CX5 owner.

I was responding to callumj who was tempted to reverse engineer it and hook it up to an Arduino.
