Winter Rims/Tires question

Hey guys, got a question. I had winter tires / steel rims on my old 2008 CX-9 GT with 245 70R 17 with rim size 17x7.5 which somehow worked even though recommend was 245 65R 17.
We now have 2019 CX9 GT and I am wondering if they will fit or no. bolt pattern/offset etc are they same or different.

thanks in advance.

Google rim size and bolt pattern for the vehicles you are comparing.
The info is out there and should be easy to find.
I bought used rims for winter tires for my 6, and googled offset and bolt pattern before buying.

They should fit, but in addition to wheel offset, you'll want to make sure the wheels will clear the brake calipers. Since you already have the wheels, just test fit them and you'll have your answer. I'm not familiar with the 1st gen CX-9's wheel offsets, but if they're between +35 and +55 and they clear the brake calipers, you should be ok.

All the wheel specs are here: https://www.wheel-size.com/ If the center bore is too big, you can buy adapter rings. If it's too small, you're out of luck.

The other thing to compare is the outside diameter of the tires. Generally a 2% variation from stock is OK. I'm running 245/65-17 snows on my 2016, and they work fine.

I just checked 1010tires.com and they show bolt patterns and hub bore diameter are the same:
Bolt Pattern 5x114.3 mm
Hub Bore 67.1

Tirerack.com recommends 255/65R17 for my 2017 GT, with 245/70R17 as an alternate size.

https://www.wheel-size.com/size/mazda/cx-9/2019/ shows both 2008 and 2019 as 45mm offset.
