Where can I buy a rear passenger door bottom cover replacement?

Where can I buy a replacement for this piece. It’s the bottom piece under the rear passenger door area. It ripped off going through a puddle. The part number dosen't come up with anything. It’s a 2020 cx5 gt, thanks.

It’s hard to tell which piece of the cover underneath your chassis from your pictures. Is it made of some sort of soft, cardboard like material used all over the under-body? Can you tell if any part of your piece is torn? Or is it just a whole piece fallen? I’d go to a Mazda dealer and ask for help from the parts guy to identify the part number, and they can order one for you if you really need a new piece.

I would go to the Mazda dealer too and see what they say. It might be defective if it came off from driving through a puddle. Just say that it fell off.

Looking at the picture, you can probably fix the ends were the push pins hold it. I would try making washers out of aluminum flashing, make a bunch of little holes in the metal for glue to grab and use shoe goo to glue them on the bottom, where the flat of the push pins hold them. The one big tear would need some excess metal and bending it up to match. But I take no responsibility for it getting messed up :)

Yes, I’ll do the same taking to the Mazda dealer for warranty service if I were the OP with a fairly new 2020 CX-5.

If something ripped it off they might make you pay, but the bottom body panels are probably really cheap.

If you crawl under there you might learn the location. Then you could find the part at BAM online.

I would never try and repair it if I were under warranty. Those items aren't supposed to fall off. Take it back to the dealer and just tell them it came off as you were driving. I assume you heard a noise dragging and stopped. You aren't looking underneath to check how well it is secured so how would not know it was going to fall off.
