I don't trust invoice. Because I am mute from inside.
You are, however, rather outgoing.

What the hell is this "Market Value"? What's the MSRP?
I have no idea what "Pulse 3000" is but it's on both of the documents. I plan to follow up later this week.
Just got back from a dealer in KY and was quoted the following prices, both in Soul Red.
AWD Touring PP:
Market Value - $30,980
Savings - $1,022
Added Equip - $399.00 Pulse 3000
Special benefits (color) - $598.90
Subtotal - $30,955.90
Tax - $1,857.35
Doc Fee - $99.95
Title - $17
License - $32
Filing fee - $22
Total - $32,984
Looks like they snuck in $3000 cash to make the balance due at the bottom look like $29,984.
GT w/ PP:
Market Value - $34,660
Savings - $1,467
Added Equip - $399.00 Pulse 3000
Special benefits (color) - $598.90
Subtotal - $34,190
Tax - $2,051.45
Doc Fee - $99.95
Title - $17
License - $32
Filing fee - $22
Total - $36,413

Are these fair prices? Dealer said they don't negotiate price but may negotiate add-ons since Mazda ships all their vehicles without the extras. We talked about adding Fog lights, cargo liner, roof racks and cross bars to the package, as well as possibly more than one oil change for free (maybe the first two years).
From their website it looks like it is MSRPWhat the hell is this "Market Value"? What's the MSRP?
Bet it's something you don't want or need!
After looking online, looks like a 3rd breaklight flashing/warning system to annoy drivers behind you...so yeah you're right.
GT AWD w/ PP for OTD $36,413? That's too much. I am in Maryland with 6% tax rate. I was quoted WHITE GT AWD w/PP under $30,000 (MSRP was $34,315) from two dealerships on April (there was $1000 cash back on April). White color has $200 extra and I know that Red one has $600 extra. So for $400 difference and reduced $500 cash back, you should push harder than what you received. If they don't want to sell the car with your target price, just walk away and go to other dealer. And, don't pay for any accessories that you didn't ask. That's the way the dealership rips off customers. I never visit a dealership if they can't provide itemized prices over email. It worked very well for me.

Exactly this.
You really think a dealership pays Mazda $33K for a GT? In reality it's probably more like $23K. There's no way a dealership can keep the doors open making 2 or 3 K per car. Service Departments are lucrative ... They aren't that lucrative. So you really think they sell a car at or below "invoice"? They're going to sell it for... Less then they paid for it? No. It's a made up number so you can feel great that you out hustled the dealer.
The law of 3rds. Whatever it costs you to actually make that product, you need to charge 3 times that to make a profit. Mazda Japan is building Sig's for $18K max. Believe it. Dealers are making at least $10 grand per sale. As they should. They have a lot of taxes to pay, employees, benefits, commissions...
Waiting for my new Soul Red Signature to arrive by June. I*ve negotiated a 2200 discount, and a better trade in value than other dealers. I had to go to an out of state dealer. This isn*t as good of deal as some note here, but Signature trim level seem to be scarce in my area. It was tough deciding between Reserve and Signature trims. I appreciate this forum to share info. Hope I*m making a great decision.
