Weight, rigidity and cost.The front fenders of the car are a single unit and bolted onto the car. The rear fenders, C-pillar, and roof are one single sheet of metal. This must make it harder to manufacture and to repair. Why is it done this way? Can’t the rear fenders, C-pillars, and roof be separate units and bolted onto the frame like the front fenders are?
