True gas mileage. What are you getting?

O5 3i 29 city,39 highway.

M3 S 2.3L Hatch Manual, 28.1MPG on my second tank of gas (two weeks old car), with about 50/50 highway/backroad.

Did a little of stop and go driving this time. On my previous tank of gas I got 30MPG with similar ratio highway/backroad but with no stop and go in traffic.

I'd think that 32MPG highway is achievable, especially once the enginer is broken-in

Just did 560km on 44.8L of fuel - mostly city driving.
So that's about 8.01L/100km or 29.4mpg...

Oh and my car has about 6700km on it....

I get about 30 MPG on average with a mix of city & highway driving (with gentle acceleration and low shifting). When my brother drives the car, the gas mileage takes a plunge because he over-revs the engine. I have gotten up to 45 MPG with highway driving. It seems to do the best at 70-80 MPH.

I start off every gas tank with the idea I am going to be easy on the gas etc, get about to 3\4 tank then that idea goes out the window. Props to the people who have the patience and ability to leave their car on cruise control.
