This happen to anyone's CX-5??

Recently bought this 2016 cx5 gs with 107,000km. One of the few things if not the only thing wrong cosmetically. Wondering if this is a defect seen before? Looks like it just started peeling away. Though youd think the material would have been wrapped around. Wondering also if this would be under warranty

Strange. I assume that's the radio screen surround? In my 2014 it's plain hard plastic, so cannot comment on its likelihood.

Not sure I understand your Warranty question... is the car still under factory warranty? If so, then yes it should be covered. Though it seems a bit old to be still in Warranty.

Otherwise, just price a replacement surround. I found that similar plastic trim pieces are very reasonable - even cheap - from online dealers such as bamwholesaleparts.com

UPDATE: OK I looked it up for you, for grins. A bit more than I was expecting, actually ~$55. Hopefully this is correct for yours, but best to contact them directly to check - or even ask your local dealer parts dept: https://www.bamwholesaleparts.com/oem-parts/mazda-radio-bezel-kd4555230d02

That page says list is $74, but your local dealer may give you some discount off that, and then you can be sure it's the comparable part.

Awesome! Havent had a chance to look online for anything. Looks like a replacement isnt too expensive. Thanks a lot!

This’s a very common problem on this “leather” infotainment bezel and there’s a TSB for it. Mine got replacement under new car warranty early on. And make sure to get a revised version or you may still encounter the same problem few years later.

Same issue on our 2016 GT. I actually forgot that we had this issue until this thread reminded me.
