Front sway bar bushings on a 2007 Mazda 3, I think it would be easier to drop the engine cradle out. Is there a way I don't know about to change them without being a contortionist?

So on the 2010 Mazda 5...which is a 2.3 like the 2008 Mazda3 we have and looks exactly the same setup...

I did do the front bushings on the Mazda5 from underneath...HOWEVER...

My recommendation is to pull the battery AND the battery tray completely out. I had to pull the tray to chase a bolt I dropped and I looked down and could see those bolt heads for the bushings. I think you can access them with some extensions far easier that way. Let us know!

(you may still need to have it up on ramps to get the bushings on/off...remember...if the battery is out you can't drive it up on a ramp. You'd need to jack up each side and put ramps underneath.)
