steering lock still exists??

currently, my 09 has steering lock but this 2012 I'm looking to trade up for doesn't seem to have steering lock.
Did they get rid of steering lock from the 2011 models upwards?
I wonder if the steering lock mechanism is broken.

None of my 3 12+ have had one so I’d go with they got rid of it

Was a little confused as there were steering wheel lock parts for the 2012 Mazda 5.

Not sure. I can turn my wheels after key is removed engine off in park
